2019 K-Days Summer Poultry Show
July 20, 2019 marked the 2nd Annual Canadian Heritage Breeds K Days Poultry Show in Edmonton Alberta.
CHB was very pleased to welcome judge Mark Camilleri from Ontario to judge his first show in Alberta. Mark's poultry expertise was appreciated as much as his friendly, helpful manner and sense of humour. Entries included nearly even numbers of large fowl and bantam chicken breeds, a selection of ducks and a few geese.
CHB would like to thank Edmonton Northlands for their generous sponsorship support. The venue was spectacular and we could not have hoped for a better public relations opportunity. The poultry show was a huge public attraction, and some CHB members opted to coop out 4 hours late just to accommodate the crowds and their many questions.
Poultry and Dairy Goat Exhibitors were treated to a catered reception on the Saturday evening in a private conference room, which gave everyone a break from the crowds and a chance to unwind and visit. It is our hope that this show continues to grow and succeed considering the beneficial partnership with Northlands and the huge public exposure we gain from this event. Onward and upward for 2020!
